“After seven years of Doug Ford, people are struggling” said Damptey. “It’s time we had a government that addresses the housing crisis, makes life more affordable, and creates opportunities for everyone. Hamilton has a long history of sending a strong, progressive voice to Queen’s Park – and I’m proud to have the opportunity to be that voice.”

Kojo is a civic leader, musician, and interdisciplinary scholar currently serving in a senior community engagement role at McMaster University. His academic work is focused on African Studies, including research on politics, development, culture, and decolonization.

“I am thrilled to have Kojo on our team” said Marit Stiles, Ontario NDP leader. “Hamilton Mountain deserves a representative that’s on their side. I’m looking forward to building a brighter future for our province together.”
